Handprint Tomato - From My Head Tomatoes Keepsake Craft Idea For Kids

Do you have a budding artist in the house? Get creative with a fun, at-home craft that doubles as a precious keepsake! Create adorable handprint tomatoes with your little ones and let the memories last forever.

Craft Supplies:

  • Free Printable ON BOX.COM
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Crayons
  • Washable Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Baby Wipes
  • Large Heart Sticker

Directions:

  • First grab the tomato keepsake printable listed above in the supply list.
  • Go ahead and color in the tomato design with some crayons.
  • Now grab the washable craft paint, as well as your foam paint brush and paper plate.
  • Squirt the red craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Pick one of your child’s hands {left or right – doesn’t matter!}
  • Paint the fingers and palm of your child’s hand completely and press it down in the center of the printable, right inside the colored in tomato design. Be sure to wiggle each fingers to really transfer that paint.
  • Now carefully lift up your child’s hand from the printable to reveal the handprint design.
  • Clean off excess paint from hands with a baby wipe and a quick trip to the sink with soap & water.
  • Next – go ahead and add a large heart sticker to the center of the painted handprint, to tie the theme together.
