Craft Supplies:

  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Candy Printable – on our landing page
  • Crayons, Coloring Pencils or Markers
  • Colored Cardstock Paper
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Scissors
  • Red Craft Paint
  • Green Craft Paint
  • White Craft Paint
  • Glue Stick
  • Sharpie Markers

Directions:

  • To get started, simply download and print out the free provided peppermint candy printable.
  • Go ahead and color & cut out TWO peppermint candy shapes. Set aside the remainder for later.
  • Next, using your scissors, you will want to cut slits in the toilet paper roll. I went about 1/4 of the way up.
  • Bend the slits outward to create your stand. The toilet paper roll will look like a flower when you are done.
  • Next – take ALL three craft paints colors and squirt them on a paper plate.
  • Using your new toilet paper roll stamp, move the paint around a bit, so the stamp part is completely covered in all three colors.
  • Now hand it over to your child and wait for the fun to begin! All they need to do is dip their newly made stamp in the paint, then on the paper. They will want to make TWO flowers {with room between each} on the paper.
  • Repeat adding paint, until the desired design is reached. At this point in time they can also sprinkle loose craft glitter on top of their wet paint creations.
  • The final step is to draw on the “flower stem” under both designs and glue on the peppermint candy centers.
  • Once the paint is dry, add embellishments all around the designs, to make your Christmas inspired flowers stand out from the crowd!

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use.
