Candy Corn Halloween Gnome Craft

Today’s Popsicle Stick Candy Corn Gnome is a super fun Halloween craft idea to recreate all month long in honor of the sweet treat {even if you don’t feel particularly fond of the yellow, orange and white striped candy!}

In this very post I’ve included a FREE blank candy corn hat printable below, to get little spook-tacular crafters started even faster. It’s that element that will really pull it together… but let’s face it, the best part of this gnome craft is that handprint beard step – am I right?!

Candy Corn Gnome - Craft Idea For Halloween Candy Corn Gnome - Craft Idea For Halloween

Keep those little hands busy this autumn season with this adorable candy corn gnome craft idea! Let their imaginations run wild and create a magical forest of handmade gnomes.

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
  • School Glue
  • Yellow or Orange Craft Paint
  • Crayons, Markers or Coloring Pencils
  • Candy Corn Hat Printable – on our landing page
  • Color Printer
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Craft Scissors
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Brown Cardstock Paper

Directions:

  • First things first – grab your three JUMBO popsicle sticks {three per candy corn gnome} and either yellow or orange craft paint.
  • Go ahead and paint each stick completely.
  • When done painting, glue the three painted sticks together to look like a triangle shape.
  • Set aside the triangle piece to let it dry completely.
  • Repeat for each Halloween candy inspired gnome you want to make today.
  • While that is drying, grab all your paper sheets and scissors.
  • Go ahead and color in one of the candy corn designs with your choice of craft medium.
  • Trim out the design afterwards.
  • Next up – the remaining paper pieces to complete the craft. Cut out a large triangular shape, from the scrapbook paper, that will be placed within the popsicle stick design and be the body of the gnome.
  • Out of the remaining pieces of cardstock paper, you want to cut out a handprint white beard, as well as a small oval shaped nose.
  • To finish off the Popsicle Stick Candy Corn Gnome – go ahead and glue all your paper pieces in place, with some school glue on the popsicle stick shape. The larger triangle piece will go on the back of the popsicle stick shape, while all the other pieces go on the front.
  • If desired, add other embellishments you see fit to complete the look.
  • Once done, set aside to let it dry completely before displaying proudly!

Instructions
