Chalk isn’t just for the sidewalk and I’m going to prove that to you, once more with this bright & colorful chalk art cat kids craft idea!

This latest chalk on paper craft idea from us is super unique to our website and I really do hope you are encouraged to recreate it today!

This is a fun and easy paper & chalk art cat craft for kids of all ages! It’s perfect for a rainy day activity or as an art project.

Craft Supplies:

  • Cat Face Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Crayons, Coloring Pencils, Markers
  • Craft Scissors
  • Black Cardstock Paper
  • Sidewalk Chalk
  • Baby Wipes
  • Adhesive

Directions:

  • First things first – grab our free cat printable, listed above in the supply list. This will give you a few features to make your paper cat craft come to life!
  • Next, go ahead and find it on your computer, right click and print the file on a single sheet of white cardstock. You only need ONE printable to make one chalk art cat craft. Print as many as you like but only use our file for personal use please.
  • Now that you have the printable, go ahead and color in the various sections of the printable. The only thing that should be left “blank” is the eyes.
  • Once done coloring, trim out each shape.
  • Discard excess paper.
  • Set aside various cat cutouts.
  • Now grab a single sheet of black cardstock and your various pieces of sidewalk chalk.
  • Make several lines going outward from the center of the paper {see our image for example} to make the “fur” for your kitten. Add as many lines and colors that you like. You want it to be nice and “fluffy” though.
  • Use baby wipes to clean off excess chalk from fingers and hands.
  • When done with the chalk, go ahead and grab your cat cutouts from earlier & your glue stick.
  • Starting with the oval shape {which is the mouth of the cat} glue the shape to the center of your chalk art design you just made.
  • Follow that up with the circle eyes, triangle ears and if you like, the triangle for on the forehead.
  • Now add any other embellishments you see fit.
  • Then display your chalk art kitten paper piece proudly for all to see!

Paper & Chalk Art Cat Craft

This easy paper and chalk art cat craft is perfect for kids of all ages! It's a simple, fun, and colorful way to get creative.

Here’s your checklist of supplies to bring this craft to life:

  • Cardstock Paper
  • Baby Wipes
  • SUMMER PRINTABLE - LANDING PAGE
  • Crayons, Markers or Coloring Pencils
  • Craft Scissors
  • Sidewalk Chalk
  • Glue Stick

Prepare your creative haven by laying down a protective cover before the crafting magic begins!
