Popsicle Stick Pool Float Craft Idea

These DIY pieces are perfect for pretend play, as well as pool party decorations {maybe even stick the finished pieces in a yummy cupcake for added flair!} I could even see these being in-cooperated into story-time and summer camps!

Popsicle Stick Pool Float Craft Idea

Create a fun popsicle stick pool float with this easy craft idea for kids. Perfect for summer activities and creativity!

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks – 1 per craft
  • Sharpie Markers
  • Glue Stick
  • Pool Floatie Printable – on our landing page
  • Pink Cardstock Paper
  • Colored Cardstock Paper
  • Scissors

Directions:

  1. First things first – grab ONE jumbo popsicle stick and your various thin-tipped markers.
  2. Use the markers to draw on a face, some hair and her swimsuit design.
  3. When done, set it aside till later.
  4. Now grab your printed printable and the scissors.
  5. Cut out ONE of the pool float designs.
  6. Be sure to cut out the center of the pool floatie as well.
  7. Save the other two designs for repeating the craft later.
  8. Finally, out of your remaining cardstock paper, cut out some hair for your summer friend as well.
  9. Go ahead and secure that to the decorated craft stick from earlier.
  10. Finally,  attach the decorated popsicle stick INSIDE the pool float design.
  11. Add anything else you see fit like glitter, rhinestones, maybe even some stickers!
  12. When it’s all done, display it and/or play with proudly!
