These DIY pieces are perfect for pretend play, as well as pool party decorations {maybe even stick the finished pieces in a yummy cupcake for added flair!} I could even see these being in-cooperated into story-time and summer camps!

Popsicle Stick Pool Float Craft Idea

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
  • Sharpie Markers
  • Glue Stick
  • Pool Floatie Printable – on our landing page
  • Pink Cardstock Paper
  • Colored Cardstock Paper
  • Scissors

Directions:

  • First things first – grab ONE jumbo popsicle stick and your various thin-tipped markers.
  • Use the markers to draw on a face, some hair and her swimsuit design.
  • When done, set it aside till later.
  • Now grab your printed printable and the scissors.
  • Cut out ONE of the pool float designs.
  • Be sure to cut out the center of the pool floatie as well.
  • Save the other two designs for repeating the craft later.
  • Finally, out of your remaining cardstock paper, cut out some hair for your summer friend as well.
  • Go ahead and secure that to the decorated craft stick from earlier.
  • Finally,  attach the decorated popsicle stick INSIDE the pool float design.
  • Add anything else you see fit like glitter, rhinestones, maybe even some stickers!
  • When it’s all done, display it and/or play with proudly!
