Craft Foam Easter Egg Chick

Craft Foam Easter Egg Chick - Kid Craft Idea

Easter Egg Craft Foam Chick Art Project For Kids

When it comes to kid crafts, the easier the better! Am I right?! This is seriously becoming my motto these days!

So that’s why this Craft Foam Easter Egg Chick kid craft idea is pretty self-explanatory and lacks a full tutorial today.

Although I’m a big believer in organization and following directions {seriously – when we derail from our daily routines I freak out!} I still feel like we should just let kids be kids and let them “craft” however they want, while not really expecting them to follow the RULES. At least not on the stuff that we know we can let them “bend” the rules a little bit on.

So even though I’m going to skip the fluff today, I still hope you find some inspiration in this simple craft tutorial post by just taking my picture as an example on the end result!

Here’s how we made our Craft Foam Easter Egg Chick

The Craft Supplies: All I did was grab some basic pastel colored craft foam egg pieces from my local Michaels store, as well as various embellishments like paper heart doilies, cardstock paper and wiggle eyes. You can however substitute things out if need be!

The Directions: First I cut up my paper heart doily in half for the wings and glued those in place on the craft foam egg shape. {but of course you can use feathers as well!} Then I decorated it with some orange cardstock legs, a nose and wiggle eyes. Just remember to let the kids really explore their options and encourage the unthinkable as well! Maybe you could even cut up paper plates or pull out the fabric scraps. The supplies can be endless!

Those craft foam egg pieces can be ANYTHING {and I mean anything} so stay tuned for more fun ideas coming to Glued To My Crafts soon! Especially ones that go BEYOND the Easter and spring holiday, like our Craft Foam Egg Emoji post!

Happy crafting, my friends!!! Please don’t forget to share pictures of your creations on our Facebook page to admire from a far! I can’t wait to see how you make your craft foam Easter egg chicks stand out from the crowd! #gluedtomycrafts
