Popsicle Stick Santa Stuck in a Chimney

All you need are a few simple supplies that you may already have at home! Let the little ones help out and see how creative they can be!

Get the kids laughing those deep belly laughs, with today’s Popsicle Stick Santa Stuck in a Chimney kid craft idea {boy that is mouth full!}

Using inexpensive wood craft sticks, red paint and cardstock – you too can recreate this “Christmas-y” kid craft activity in no time!

Santa Stuck in a Chimney Craft

Looking for an easy and inexpensive Christmas kid craft? Look no further than this Popsicle Stick Santa Stuck In A Chimney tutorial! Kids will love it, moms will love it. I know I do! Enjoy!

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
  • Mini Popsicle Sticks
  • Red Craft Paint
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Black Marker
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • School Glue
  • Red Cardstock Paper
  • Black Cardstock Paper
  • Paper Craft Scissors
  • White Cotton Ball

Directions:

  • First assemble the base of your chimney by gluing your popsicle sticks together {see above picture for example}
  • Now grab your craft paint, paper plate and paint brush.
  • Squirt some red paint on the paper plate.
  • Next have children paint the front of their newly made popsicle stick shape completely red.
  • Set aside to let it dry.
  • Now grab your cardstock and scissors.
  • Cut out some Santa legs and boot shapes.
  • Glue those together and add cotton balls near the boots, for a festive look.
  • To finish off the Popsicle Stick Santa Stuck in a Chimney craft, have children glue their cardstock embellishments to the popsicle stick design.
  • Finish off by drawing “brick” lines on the popsicle stick shape with the black marker.
  • Then either decorate your piece with glitter, rhinestones or even more craft paint before displaying proudly!!!
