Christmas is fast approaching and I’m sure you are starting to look for some fun, festive and super easy kid crafts to do this holiday season. Am I right?

Well – you are in luck today with Glued To My Crafts because this Paper Plate and Craft Paint Gingerbread Man is ALL THREE OF THOSE THINGS! Not only is he super cute and fun for an afternoon Christmas craft to pass the time but he’s also super easy & really inexpensive to recreate on the fly!

Best part? Just like real gingerbread man cookies, this craft can be customized however your child wants. From adding sparkles to changing out the colors – kids imagine it and the gingerbread man craft comes to life!

Paper Plate Gingerbread Man

It’s time to put a festive twist on your crafting projects with the adorable Paper Plate Gingerbread Man!

With the holidays just around the corner, now is a perfect opportunity to get in the Christmas spirit and show off your professional creativity. Forget baking gingerbread cookies, this delightful paper plate project will make you smile every bit as much—but much faster —and it’s sure to delight family members of all ages when it hangs on your wall for decoration.

So grab some basic supplies like paint and construction paper and let’s craft up an imaginative winter wonderland complete with their very own cheery handcrafted gingerman!

Craft Supplies:

  • Large Paper Plate
  • Tan Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Pink Cardstock Paper
  • Dark Brown Cardstock Paper
  • Scissors
  • School Glue

Directions:

  • First squirt your tan craft paint in the center of ONE paper plate.
  • Use the foam paint brush to move the paint around, until the paper is covered completely.
  • Set aside to let it dry a bit.
  • Now grab all your sheets of cardstock and scissors.
  • Out of the white cardstock, cut out some frosting hair and a mouth.
  • Out of the dark brown cardstock, cut out TWO circular eyes.
  • Out of the pink cardstock, cut out some rosy cheeks and a large, circular nose.
  • Now take all the paper cutouts and glue them to your painted paper plate.
  • Add other embellishments if you like, to customize your paper plate gingerbread man.
  • Then let it dry completely before displaying.
