Clothespin & Felt Apple Trees Craft Idea

Get your crafty juices flowing and make this adorable clothespin and felt apple tree! The perfect way to get your kids (or you) excited for fall!

Craft Supplies:

  • Wooden Clothespins
  • Green Craft Felt
  • Red Puffy Paint
  • Tacky Glue
  • Craft Scissors
  • Gold or Brown Paint Pen

Directions:

  • First have children paint the “trunk” of their trees completely gold {or brown} Repeat for each clothespin tree you want to make today.
  • While they are working on that go ahead and cut out a green circle for each piece. Just a simple “not perfect” circle shape for the leaves will do.
  • To finish off the Clothespin Felt Apple Trees – glue the green felt circle to the clothespin, followed with the painted red “apples” on top of the green. Repeat for each piece.
  • Then let it all dry completely before displaying/playing with proudly! {BTW – since we used clothespins, these trees can stand up pretty nicely on their own!}

Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible.
