Popsicle Stick Crocodile – Cornelius Inspired Craft

Are you looking for a fun and easy craft idea for kids? Try this popsicle stick crocodile craft! It’s perfect for summertime.

Popsicle Stick Crocodile - Cornelius Inspired Kid Craft Idea

Crocodile Craft Idea For Kids

Our Popsicle Stick Crocodile craft idea is not only super simple BUT it also goes along PERFECTLY with the book Cornelius by Leo Lionni {affiliate link on Amazon}

Unlike other crocodiles, Cornelius walks upright, sees things, and does tricks no other crocodile can. His friends aren’t impressed. “So what?” they say when he demonstrates standing on his head or hanging from his tail. At first, Cornelius is disappointed, but things aren’t always what they seem, and life on the riverbeach is about to undergo some big changes. Children will draw inspiration from this tale of a crocodile who marches to his own drummer.

So what are you waiting for? Let’s grab those simple craft supplies and follow my step-by-step tutorial below to let the fun begin!

Happy crafting {and reading} with your child today! Don’t forget to share pictures of your finished craft stick crocodile puppet on our Facebook page! #gluedtomycrafts
