Red Mushroom Craft Idea

Welcome friends! I’m so glad you landed on today’s Cupcake Liner Mushrooms kids craft tutorial!

As you may already know, with spring weather comes tons of rain and that usually means LOTS of mushrooms everywhere. Usually in the places you don’t want them!

Although I’m not a big fan of these red and white colored things in my yard, I am however a BIG fan of today’s Cupcake Liner and Craft Stick Mushroom craft idea! It’s a first-seen-here design and I really hope you like it!

Inspired by spring and our Popsicle Stick Gnomes – this simple DIY kid craft idea is perfect for children {and adults} of ALL ages to “grow” together.

So friends – let’s gather up those supplies and “plant” your own one-of-a-kind mushrooms on your craft table today! You can find ALL the details you need to know in the full tutorial below!

Cupcake Liner Mushrooms - Kid Craft Idea For Spring

These adorable little muffin cup liner mushrooms are perfect for a nature-themed lesson plan or as a fun addition to your child’s spring crafting plans!

Craft Supplies:

  • Red Cupcake Liners
  • Popsicle Stick Scoops
  • School Glue
  • White Craft Paint
  • Small Paint Brush

Directions:

  • First pick out your cupcake liners and flatten/fold each one in half.
  • Glue the center section together to create the top of your mushroom.
  • Repeat for as many mushroom pieces you want to make today.
  • Now grab your white craft paint.
  • Go ahead and paint little white dots all over the folded cupcake liner for a fun mushroom look.
  • To finish off the Cupcake Liner Mushrooms – glue your finished cupcake liner piece to one end of your wooden scoop stick.
  • Then add other embellishments and set aside to let it dry completely before displaying proudly!!!
