Paper Plate Christmas Tree Craft

This step-by-step guide will walk you through everything you need to create your own festive masterpiece. By the end of this tutorial, you’ll have a beautiful paper plate Christmas tree ready to display—and some unforgettable holiday memories.

Craft Supplies:

Gather everything before you start—it saves time and keeps young crafters focused!

  • Large Paper Plate
  • Green Tissue Paper
  • White School Glue
  • Scissors
  • Brown Cardstock Paper
  • Stapler
  • Sequins/Glitter

Directions:

Got everything? Great! Here’s the step-by-step guide.

  • First cut your paper plate to look like a Christmas tree/a triangle shape.
  • Discard the cut off pieces.
  • Next cut your green tissue paper into small squares.
  • Put a good amount of glue all over the paper plate cutout.
  • Have your child place the tissue paper on top of the glue, until the paper plate is completely covered.
  • Once completely covered, place a decorative line of glue on top of the tissue paper.
  • Have your child sprinkle some sequins on top, to decorate the “tree.”
  • To finish off the Sequined Tree craft, staple/glue on the stump of the tree from brown cardstock.
  • Then let it dry completely before displaying proudly!
