Handprint Santa Gnome Keepsake

We are going to help YOU and your child make an adorable, Paper Handprint Santa & His Elves Gnome Keepsake Idea within minutes!

Craft Supplies:

  • Ho, Ho, Ho Printable – on our landing page
  • Gray Cardstock Paper
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Light Brown Cardstock Paper
  • Green Scrapbook Paper
  • Red Scrapbook Paper
  • Pencil or Pen
  • Scissors
  • Adhesive

Directions:

  • First things first, if you haven’t already, download and print our free “ho, ho, ho” file {listed above in the supply list} on a single sheet of gray cardstock.
  • Next up – trace your child’s hand THREE times on your white cardstock paper.
  • When done tracing, trim out each piece with your paper scissors. Each one will be a beard for your gnomes.
  • Set those aside.
  • Now grab your patterned scrapbook paper.
  • Cut out THREE large triangle hats. Two green ones for Santa’s elves and a red hat for Santa.
  • Finally – cut out a small oval nose shape, for EACH gnome, from the kraft colored cardstock.
  • Now you are ready to assemble it all together.
  • Start off my gluing down the THREE white handprint cutouts, in a row, on the gray colored cardstock paper. You want the fingertips facing downward but make sure you DON’T cover up the printed words.
  • Follow up that step by gluing down the hats {Santa in the middle} on the palms of the handprint cutouts.
  • Then glue down the oval noses to complete each gnome.
  • To finish off your Paper Christmas Santa & His Elves Keepsake, write your name in the provided space and add any other embellishments you see fit, to give it that holiday spin!
  • Then display your Christmas gnome masterpiece proudly for ALL to see!!
  • Don’t forget to snap a few pictures of your finished paper gnome keepsake on your phone and tag us on your social media sites! #gluedtomycrafts

Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible.
