The holiday season is a time for magic, joy, and creativity. What better way to engage the little ones than by combining all three in a fun and artistic project? Torn paper crafts are not only easy and affordable but also a fantastic way for kids to express themselves creatively.

Today’s “torn paper reindeer” craft is perfect for kids of all ages. Simple materials, easy-to-follow steps, and the freedom to personalize their reindeer make this activity a hit. Kids will love tearing paper, arranging colors, and adding their own creative touches.

Craft Supplies:

Before you begin, gather all the necessary materials. You’ll need:

  • Reindeer Printable – on our landing page
  • Cardstock Paper {white}
  • Brown Construction Paper
  • Crayons
  • School Glue or Glue Stick
  • Googly Eyes
  • Medium Sized Red Gift Bow
  • Embellishments

Having everything ready before you start will make the crafting process smoother and more enjoyable for everyone involved.

Directions:

  • First download and print the FREE you are “deer” to me template listed above, on a single piece of cardstock paper. You will need to print ONE for each craft you want to do with your child.
  • Have kids use crayons to color in the ears/antlers in the reindeer design.
  • Now help your child cut/tear their second sheet of brown paper into small pieces.
  • Next grab the school glue and put a good amount of glue on the “head” design in the printable.
  • Have children place their paper pieces on top of the glue {adding more if needed} until it’s is completely covered.
  • The final step is to add the googly eyes and the gift bow for the nose, to finish off the reindeer’s face.
  • Once done decorating, set aside to let it all dry completely before displaying/gifting your child’s adorable reindeer proudly!
