Handprint I'm "Snow" CUTE Keepsake

Wintertime is magical, especially for kids who find joy in the simplest of snowy adventures. While the snowflakes fall and the world turns into a white wonderland, there’s no better time to engage children in creative activities that capture the essence of the season.

One such delightful craft idea is today’s unique “SNOW” cute keepsake idea that uses craft paint, paper and some snowflake stickers.

Not only does it bring out the artist in your child, but it also creates a cherished memory to look back on year after year!

Craft Supplies:

Before you start any craft project, it’s essential to gather all the necessary materials. For the “SNOW” Cute Keepsake, you’ll need a few basic supplies that are easy to find. The good news is that most of them might already be lying around your home, making this a convenient and budget-friendly activity.

  • Snow Cute Printable – on our landing page
  • Cardstock Paper {I used light blue}
  • Washable Craft Paint {any color you like!}
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Baby Wipes
  • Snowflake Stickers

Directions:

Setting up a dedicated craft space ensures that kids can focus on their project without distractions.

  • First grab the I’m “snow” cute keepsake printable listed above in the supply list.
  • Now print out the provided handprint file on a single sheet of light blue cardstock paper.
  • Next grab your washable craft paint, as well as your foam paint brush and paper plate.
  • Squirt the craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Pick one of your child’s hands {left or right – doesn’t matter!}
  • Paint the palm and fingers of your child’s hand completely blue and press it down in the center of the printable, between the “SN” and “W” letters. The handprint is going to be the “O” in the SNOW phrase.
  • Now carefully lift up your child’s hand from the printable and clean off the excess paint with a baby wipe & a quick trip to the sink.
  • Now to finish the craft – now add any other embellishments you see fit, to give their snow themed keepsake piece a personalized look.
  • Then display/gift away proudly your child’s beautiful handprint “I’m snow cute” keepsake piece!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
