This gorgeous and super simple Thumbprint Christmas Tree kid craft idea is absolutely PERFECT for the older children {and even adults} in your life!

With the free Christmas tree printable template I’ve included in today’s post, it’s super simple to add “thumbprint ornaments” and make a one-of-a-kind piece to show off in no time!

NO TWO CHRISTMAS TREE PIECES WILL BE ALIKE!!! Just download the FREE file below, grab some colorful ink pads and get ready to customize your piece however you like {maybe even using it as a Christmas party keepsake by having every person in attendance add their thumbprint and name!}

Thumbprint Christmas Tree - Kid Craft Idea w/free printable

Thumbprint Christmas Tree

All you need is some green paint and some thumbprints! Let your creative juices flow and see what kind of festive trees you can create. Merry Christmas!

Craft Supplies:

  • Free Christmas Tree Template Printable
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Color Printer
  • Washable Ink Pads {any color you like!}
  • Baby Wipes

Directions:

  • First things first – print the free template printable, listed above, on white cardstock. Print one sheet for each person/craft you want to make.
  • Next have children press their thumb on their desired colors of ink pad and then press it down on the “branches of the tree” in the printable.
  • Repeat until you have all the “lights” on the Christmas tree you want.
  • Finish off your Thumbprint Christmas Tree craft by adding other embellishments you see fit {like glitter and sequins with glue!}
  • Then display/gift proudly for all to see!

  • Color Printer

Supplies:

  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Washable Ink Pads

Instructions:
