Torn Paper Winter Sweater Card Craft for Kids

This Torn Paper Winter Sweater Craft is a simple, fun and low-mess activity for children of all ages. It combines sensory play with creative expression, resulting in a charming decoration or gift. Craft Supplies:

Here’s everything you’ll need to get started on your torn paper winter sweater masterpiece:

  • Construction Paper {any color!}
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Winter Sweater Printable – from our landing page
  • School Glue
  • White Dot Stickers
  • Crayons, Markers or Coloring Pencils
  • Embellishments

You probably already have most of these items at home! If not, they’re easily available at local craft stores or even dollar stores.

Directions:

Ready to make your own cozy paper sweaters? Find a comfortable spot to work. This craft is perfect for a chilly afternoon indoors.

  • First things first – download and print out the FREE provided blank “I pieced this together with “snow” much love” printable listed above, on a single piece of white cardstock paper.
  • If desired, have kids color in collar/cuffs in the printable however they like.
  • Next up, help your child cut/tear their construction paper into small pieces.
  • Now have them use school glue to glue those pieces inside the “winter sweater” design in the printable. Remind the kids that the goal isn’t perfection – it’s about having fun and creating something that’s entirely their own.
  • The final step is to have kids add some stickers/embellishments {the circle stickers are perfect to make a snowman!} to give their clothing some personality and holiday flair!
  • Allow the paper piece to dry completely before gifting away!
