Craft Supplies:
Before starting the craft, gather all necessary materials. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Five Reasons Printable – on our FALL landing page
- White Cardstock Paper
- Dark Brown Cardstock Paper
- Light Brown Cardstock Paper
- Crayons, Coloring Pencils or Markers
- Scissors
- School Glue
- Embellishments
Having everything ready before you begin will make the crafting process smoother and more enjoyable for both you and the children.
Directions:
Recreating this first day of fall craft is simple and rewarding. Follow these steps to make it come to life within minutes:
- Start by downloading the free printable template.
- Have the kids color in five of the pumpkin shapes {I included an extra pumpkin just in case!} Then, assist them in cutting out each pumpkin and the fall saying using scissors.
- Help the kids trace their hand onto light brown cardstock and cut it out. Once done, set all the paper pieces aside for now.
- Using a green marker, draw squiggly vines all over the dark brown paper to create a fun, textured background.
- Glue the handprint cutout in the center of the decorated paper. Next, attach the five pumpkin shapes and sayings around the handprint.
- Follow that up by gluing down the five pumpkin shapes and sayings.
- In each pumpkin shape, have the kids write one of their top five reasons why they love fall.
- Once everything is glued down, set the craft aside to dry completely. When it’s ready, proudly display or gift your adorable paper pumpkin patch keepsake!
