In this educational yet fun craft, we will guide young makers through the process of creating their very own torn paper rainbow fish!
Summertime is a season of vibrant colors, imaginative play, and endless discovery. And what better way for kids to celebrate the rainbow hues of summer than with a creative craft project?
In this super short but yet fun craft tutorial, we will guide young makers through the process of creating their very own torn paper rainbow fish!
Creating a Splash of Color: Torn Paper Fish Craft Idea for Kids
To bring to life this rainbow colored fish craft, simply start off by having children tear/cut several different colors of construction paper into small squares. They will want a good mix of colors. At this point in time you should also help them tear up a small amount of aluminum foil as well.
From there, children will take their fish print out and color/trim out the design & glue it to another piece of BLUE cardstock paper. This way it looks like it’s swimming in the ocean.
Now place a good amount of school glue in the center of the design and have them layer the torn pieces ON the printable, to create the scales of the fish. They can layer/stack them however they like!
The final step is to add a wiggle eye so the fish can see!
So on that note, I hope you have fun recreating it with your little crafter today!
