Or perhaps maybe you have a ton leftover from the kids’ Easter baskets last year that is still laying around…. I won’t judge! However you get a hold of this awesome material, we are going to turn it into something super MAGICAL with this shredded paper unicorn hair craft idea!
Let me also add that ANY color or texture of this shredded paper will do. That is the fun part and how we are going to customize our unicorns! We are going to take this shredded material, upcycle it and make it become BEAUTIFUL {and unique} unicorn hair within minutes! Unicorn Hair Craft Supplies:
- Large Paper Plate – one plates makes TWO unicorn crafts
- White Cardstock
- Gold Cardstock
- Basic Craft Scissors
- Hand-Held Office Stapler
- School Glue
- Shredded Crinkle Paper {in any color you like – we like Dollar Tree for this material!}
The Simple Directions:
- First things first – cut your large paper plate in half. Straight up the center to make TWO equal pieces! You will need ONE half for the unicorn craft. Save the other half for a rainy day.
- Set aside the paper plate half.
- Grab your white and gold cardstock, along with the scissors again.
- Cut out ears and a triangular horn for your unicorn.
- Now grab your stapler and paper plate half from the first step.
- Staple the cardstock pieces in place on the paper plate.
- Finally, for the last step, put a good amount of glue on the paper plate half.
- Lay a handful of shredded paper on top of the glue. Use your hand to squish it down.
- Set it aside to let it dry completely.
- Then display your shredded paper and paper plate unicorn piece proudly for all to see!
