Handprint Leaf Wreath Activity For Fall

The Handprint Leaf Wreath craft is a fun-filled activity that is easy and safe to make with your kids. You can put your little ones’ handprints to good use in this craft as the wreath is made entirely of colorful handprints.

To make this wreath, you will need some basic supplies like construction paper, glue, scissors, and ribbons.

The best and most enjoyable part is choosing the colors for your child’s handprints.

It’s is a great opportunity for your kids to get creative with colors and experiment with different combinations. Once you have all the supplies, let’s get started!

Let your kids get creative and have fun with this paper leaf wreath craft idea! Perfect for holiday decorations or just to enjoy as a family activity.

Craft Supplies:

  • Large Paper Plate – 1 per craft
  • Craft Scissors
  • Construction Paper {three to four different colors}
  • Pencil
  • Brown Marker
  • Stapler
  • Ribbon

Directions:

  • First things first – cut out the center of your large paper plate, leaving a ring for the wreath.
  • Discard the center of the paper plate.
  • Now we are ready for the handprint leaves. Grab your various sheets of cardstock paper, as well as a pencil.
  • Trace your child’s hand six to eight times on the sheets.
  • Trim out each handprint design.
  • Use a brown marker to draw details on the cutouts, to give them the look of leaves.
  • Now we are ready to start assembling. Start laying/layering the handprint cutouts around the paper plate rim.
  • Staple those in place.
  • To finish off the leaf handprint wreath craft, staple a “bow” to the front of the paper plate.
  • If desired, add a small looped piece to the back for easy hanging.
  • Then display it proudly for ALL to see!
