Mistletoe Ornament Craft For Kids

Moms and kids everywhere are getting into the Christmas spirit! This fun and easy paper & puffy paint mistletoe ornament craft is a great way for your little ones to get creative and festive.

Craft Supplies:

  • Mistletoe Printable – on our landing page
  • Green Cardstock Paper
  • White Shaving Cream
  • White School Glue
  • Red Food Coloring
  • Small Mixing Bowl
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • Loose Craft Glitter
  • Scissors
  • Single Hole Punch
  • Yarn or String

Directions:

  • First grab and print the FREE CHRISTMAS GREENERY PRINTABLE. You will want to print this file on a shade of green cardstock paper. Print one printable per craft.
  • Now you are ready to make your puffy paint! Place equal amounts of shaving cream and glue in a small dish.
  • Mix together until well combined.
  • Now add a drop of red food coloring and mix until you have a shade of RED you like {remember, your puffy paint will also be a shade darker when completely dried}
  • Once you have the consistency and color you like, have children “paint” their three Christmas “berries” in the provided printable. They will want to stay within the lines of the three circles.
  • After children are done with the puffy paint step, have them “sprinkle” on some sparkle on top of wet puffy paint.
  • Now set aside the paper mistletoe masterpiece to let it dry completely before cutting it out.
  • Then once the puffy paint is COMPLETELY dry, go ahead and cut out the shape, hole punch a hole and string some string through it for easy hanging on the tree.
