Cupcake Liner Cactus Card - Have A FAN-CACTUS!

Have you been looking for a fun, colorful, and easy craft project to do with your kids? I’ve found the perfect solution – cupcake liner cactus cards!

This creative craft idea uses supplies you likely already have at home like cupcake liners, googly eyes, and glue to create adorable cactus plant greeting cards.

Your kids will love decorating their own mini cactus characters using nothing more than colorful paper wrappers. The mess is minimal and clean up is easy.

Plus, it makes for an arts and crafts activity even the littlest hands can participate in. In this post, I’ll share the simple step-by-step instructions for making these unique cactus cards perfect for any occasion like birthdays, holidays or just because.

Cupcake Liner Cactus Card - You Are FAN-CACTUS! Cupcake Liner Cactus Card - You Are FAN-CACTUS!

In no time at all, you’ll be impressing everyone with your inventive, cute, and oh-so-happy cupcake liner cactus cards!

Craft Supplies:

  • FAN-CACTUS Card Printable – from our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Mini Green Cupcake Liner
  • Adhesive
  • Black Marker
  • Flower Stickers
  • Small Googly Eyes
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • First things first – grab your paper trimmer to trim out one of the designs, so it will fit on the front of the cardstock card.
  • Now grab your pre-folded cardstock card & glue stick.
  • Glue the cactus design cutout to the front your folded card.
  • Now grab your mini green cupcake liner and flatten it out with your hands.
  • Use a glue stick to glue that piece right above the flower pot design.
  • Next grab your black Sharpie marker and draw dotted “spikes” ALL over the green cupcake liner.
  • Finally – we are at the end of the tutorial! To finish the cupcake liner cactus card, go ahead and add your flower & wiggle eyes to bring the cactus to life.
  • Last step – write a message inside the card and add anything else you see fit!
  • Well done – it looks SHARP! Now drop it in the mail for the lucky receiver to enjoy!
  • Don’t forget to use the second design in the printable {with the same steps as above} to make another card to drop in the mail today!
