Thumbprint Cactus Cards For Valentine's Day

Get crafty this weekend! Make your own thumbprint cactus card with our easy-to-follow tutorial. It’s guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone’s face!

CRAFT SUPPLIES:

  • BTW – some baby wipes on hand are also good to have on hand for this craft as well!

THE HOW-TO:

  • To recreate your Valentine’s Day cactus cards, simply add three green “thumbprints” on a piece of white cardstock, on top of each other in a “Y” shape, just like you would see a cactus in real life. Repeat this step about two to three times on your card front. You don’t want to over-crowd your paper though.
  • Follow that up by drawing on cactus small features with thin-tip markers {like black spikes, brown pots and pink flowers!} to make it come to life.
  • And that’s it! Your card is finish!
  • You could also add on a few sayings like “stuck on you” or “so glad to be stuck with you” to tie the theme together.
  • Then mail and/or hand-deliver your thumbprint cactus card to the lucky receiver!

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use.
