I’m leaping for joy with today’s Owl Playing In Leaves preschool craft idea! I hope you see my vision and make it a MUST DO this fall season!
Preschool Owl Craft Idea For Kids Using Leaves
I know, I know… it’s probably “too” soon to start thinking {and talking} about fall crafts. But let’s face it. Once the kids go back and the school supplies go on clearance, you can’t stop fall from happening.
I’ve already seen the autumn stuff at my local Dollar Tree store so it’s only a matter of time. I’m sorry folks but fall is coming and Glued To My Crafts is ready for it!
Now you might be stumping your feet and screaming at me but preparing for this time of year is a must. I feel like once October 1st comes around, it’s all becomes a blur until the day after Christmas. It goes fast and sometimes… just sometimes… we kick our feet because we didn’t get to do all the things we wanted to. Sound familiar?
If fall is your favorite season like it’s mine, you want to make the best out of it. Right? So today you start your “fall craft plans” by bookmarking today’s owl playing in leaves post. There’s even a free printable to get you started within a matter of minutes. I’m marketing the whole craft idea for young preschoolers to create since it’s a simple dab of glue art project but honestly I could see the older kids enjoying it as well.
Without a doubt, I’ve made it super easy today with the FREE PRINTABLE you will find below. No excuses! So let me recap in case you need another nudge. You download our free file, grab some inexpensive plastic leaves {or the real crunchy stuff from outside} and then just use glue to surround the adorable owl with leaves. That’s it!
So what will you make with your child this upcoming fall season? Will it be this simple “owl playing in leaves” craft? You could even make it a memorable fall adventure by heading outside as a family and going on a “hunt” for the perfect leaves to adorn to your paper. I challenge you on that idea!
I can’t wait to see pictures of your creations. Be sure to tag us on Facebook or Instagram afterwards! Happy crafting, my friends! #gluedtomycrafts

- The cheapest route for this craft is to go outside and collect them straight from the ground. You could even turn it into a game and/or learning experience.
- Another option would be to pull out your Cricut or another cutting machine and cut out a few paper leaves that way. This might be a great way to use up paper scraps!
- Regardless of how you find the “leaves” I hope you enjoy making our craft idea!
