Back to school season is officially on our doorsteps! And at Glued To My Crafts, we want YOU to capture those sweet little footprints forever in time, with today’s Love You To The Core kids craft idea!!!

No need to stress out – this footprint apple art project tutorial for kids is SUPER simple, I promise!!! All you need is some craft paint and a little creativity to get the DIY keepsake decor piece done!!!

Our painted apple keepsake idea is perfect for just because moments, back to school season or even for instant fall decoration in your home!

Love You To The Core - Footprint Apple Keepsake Idea

This easy and fun craft is sure to put a smile on ANY lucky receiver’s face and leave a lasting footprint of your love.

Craft Supplies:

  • Large Blank Canvas
  • Washable Craft Paint
  • Paint Brushes
  • Paper Plate
  • Baby Wipes
  • Scrapbook Stickers

Directions:

  • Between each step – be sure to let the paint dry completely so colors don’t bleed
  • First paint one of your child’s feet completely red and press it down on the canvas.
  • Remove remaining paint from your child’s foot with a baby wipe.
  • Repeat the painting step with the other foot to create an “apple core” shape in the center of the canvas.
  • Next paint on the embellishments to turn the footprint into an apple core.
  • Add a stem, leaf, seeds in the center etc. to really pull it together.
  • To finish off the Footprint Apple Canvas – simply add scrapbook stickers around the painting to say “love you to the core.”
  • Add other embellishments you see fit {like rhinestones, glitter etc.}
  • Then display proudly or gift away!
