Christmas Tree Popsicle Stick Ornament Craft Idea For Kids

PAIR YOUR ORNAMENT FRAME CRAFT WITH —> Thumbprint Snowman Frame
These Christmas tree picture frame ornaments are super easy and fun to make, and they look really cute when they’re finished.
Craft Supplies:
- Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
- School Glue or Hot Glue Gun
- Green Craft Paint
- Foam Paint Brush
- Small Paper Plate
- Small Rhinestone Stickers
- Paper Craft Scissors
- Yellow Cardstock Paper
- Brown Cardstock Paper
- 4×6 Printed Picture
- Twine or Ribbon
Directions:
- First have children assemble the base of their tree by gluing THREE popsicle sticks together to look like a triangle.
- Set aside to let it dry.
- Repeat for each piece you want to make today.
- Next squirt some craft paint on a paper plate and have children paint their popsicle stick shape completely green.
- Again, set aside to let it dry completely. Repeat for each piece.
- Now grab your scissors and cardstock paper.
- Cut out a small brown rectangle for the tree stump and a star for on top of the tree.
- Go ahead and glue both of them to the painted popsicle stick piece.
- Next grab your printed picture.
- Trim it down to fit inside the popsicle stick piece.
- Glue it to the back of your piece.
- To finish off the Craft Stick Christmas Tree Ornaments – have children decorate them however they like with rhinestones {really let them go to town with it!}
- Once done, set it all aside to let it dry completely before you display them proudly.
- For easy displaying – glue some string to the back for easy hanging on the tree or for adding to gift packages under the tree!
