These Christmas tree picture frame ornaments are super easy and fun to make, and they look really cute when they’re finished.

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks {3 per Christmas tree ornament}
  • School Glue or Hot Glue Gun
  • Green Craft Paint
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Small Rhinestone Stickers
  • Paper Craft Scissors
  • Yellow Cardstock Paper
  • Brown Cardstock Paper
  • 4×6 Printed Picture {one per Christmas tree ornament}

Directions:

  • First have children assemble the base of their tree by gluing THREE popsicle sticks together to look like a triangle.
  • Set aside to let it dry.
  • Repeat for each piece you want to make today.
  • Next squirt some craft paint on a paper plate and have children paint their popsicle stick shape completely green.
  • Again, set aside to let it dry completely. Repeat for each piece.
  • Now grab your scissors and cardstock paper.
  • Cut out a small brown rectangle for the tree stump and a star for on top of the tree.
  • Go ahead and glue both of them to the painted popsicle stick piece.
  • Next grab your printed picture.
  • Trim it down to fit inside the popsicle stick piece.
  • Glue it to the back of your piece.
  • To finish off the Craft Stick Christmas Tree Ornaments – have children decorate them however they like with rhinestones {really let them go to town with it!}
  • Once done, set it all aside to let it dry completely before you display them proudly.
  • For easy displaying – glue some string to the back for easy hanging on the tree or for adding to gift packages under the tree!
