Popsicle Stick Christmas Trucks - Kid Craft

Calling ALL my crafty mamas who have little ones in the home that love TRUCKS and CHRISTMAS! We are combining BOTH for a great kid craft idea and I hope you like our Popsicle Stick Christmas Trucks tutorial today! We even added a little “handprint element” to the back of each truck to make them into keepsakes, as well!

Popsicle Stick Christmas Trucks - Kid Craft

This easy and fun kids craft is perfect for Christmas. You can customize the colors to match your holiday decor, and it’s a great way to keep the little ones busy.

If you have been a long time follower of Glued To My Crafts, you already know how much my lil man loves trucks.

We have even shared quite a few “truck themed tutorials” in the past on our website and today’s post is just one our latest ideas but with a festive Christmas spin!

This kid friendly Popsicle Stick Christmas Trucks craft is completely customizable when it comes to the colors and of course – it’s super easy, inexpensive and fun for all ages! These cars don’t require fancy tools to recreate OR a big wallet either. It’s just plain ole’ simple craft fun! Plus we added a handprint Christmas tree and/or handprint snowmen to the back of each truck, for a keepsake” element!

So what are you waiting for? Rev up those engines, grab those craft supplies and “vroom” on by to crafting these up, this holiday season! You could easily also add ribbon to the back to turn them into ornaments for the tree – how fun, right?!

Popsicle Stick Christmas Trucks - Kid Craft

This kid-friendly Christmas craft is perfect for all ages! Customize the colors to match your holiday decor, and be sure to have fun with it. These popsicle stick trucks are easy and enjoyable to make. Happy crafting!

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks – 3 per craft
  • Mini Popsicle Sticks – 2 per craft
  • Paper Plate
  • Craft Paint
  • Paint Brushes
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Scissors
  • School Glue
  • Sharpie Markers
  • Embellishments

Popsicle Stick Christmas Trucks - Kid Craft Popsicle Stick Christmas Trucks - Kid Craft

Directions:

  • First grab THREE jumbo popsicle sticks, TWO mini sized ones and the school glue {the popsicle stick amounts are per truck you are going to make}
  • Lay the three large ones next to each other, one by one, on a flat surface.
  • Now grab your other two mini popsicle sticks and glue them the other direction to create a fence.
  • Set aside to let it dry a bit.
  • Repeat for each truck.
  • While those are drying, grab all your cardstock.
  • Cut out embellishments for your truck {wheels, the bed of the truck, a window} as well as tracing your child’s hand on some cardstock, trimming it out and decorating the cutout either as a Christmas tree or snowmen.
  • Set all these aside when done.
  • Once the popsicle stick shape is dry enough, go ahead and paint it with your craft paint.
  • To finish off the Popsicle Stick Christmas Trucks, glue the cardstock pieces you made {including the handprints in the back of the truck!} in place as well as any other embellishments you see fit {think rhinestones, glitter, etc.}
  • Also go ahead and use Sharpie markers to draw a “Santa driver” in the window of your truck.
  • When it’s all done and dry, display it or play with proudly!
  • Remember – you can also add ribbon to the back to turn it into an ornament!
