Burlap Triangles Turned Pumpkin Pie Gift Tags
Here’s a fun craft and gift idea for kids to “bake up” this Thanksgiving holiday and it also goes along perfectly with the book I Know An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Pie by Alison Jackson – making it the perfect excuse to craft, have story time AND make a quick gift idea for those this upcoming Thanksgiving holiday!
I know an old lady who swallowed a pie, a Thanksgiving pie, which was really too dry.
And with that the feast begins! After the pie the old lady swallows a whole squash, all of the salad, and the entire turkey! As Mother and Father watch in shock, the two children are delighted to see the old lady growing fatter and fatter. And, in the end, the old lady makes a surprising and humorous contribution to the holiday festivities.
“Jackson draws on some traditional Thanksgiving foods to give a familiar rhyme new zing. Schachner’s exuberant, cartoon-style illustrations . . . catch the comedy splendidly!” (Booklist)
So what are you waiting for? Let your child’s baking imagination go wild and have them “bake” up these effortless & calorie-free Burlap Pumpkin Pies today! Don’t forget to grab the mentioned book above to read in celebration and really make a fun afternoon out of it! Then take your new custom pie slice tags and add them to small gifts to give out during the Thanksgiving holiday!
Happy crafting my friends! Don’t forget to share pictures of your decorative burlap pumpkin pie slices on our Facebook page! I can’t wait to see what you design! #gluedtomycrafts
