Craft Supplies:

  • Large Paper Plate – one per craft
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Turkey Printable – on our landing page
  • LARGE Cupcake Liners {about 20 – orange, brown and yellow}
  • Craft Scissors
  • Stapler
  • optional – Craft Ribbon

Directions:

  • First things first – cut out the center of your paper plate, leaving a simple ring shape for the wreath.
  • Discard the center of the paper plate you just cut out.
  • Now grab your various colors of cupcake liners, your stapler and the scissors.
  • For each “turkey feather” on the wreath, you are going to want TWO large cupcake liners.
  • Flatten each set out with your hands and stack them on top of each other.
  • Use the stapler to secure them together in the center.
  • Next use the scissors to cut a simple fringe around the edge.
  • Use your fingers to “fluff” it up and give it even more dimension.
  • Now use your stapler again to staple the turkey feathers, in place, on the paper plate rim.
  • Repeat for each “flower” on the wreath until the paper plate is completely covered.
  • Once the plate is completely covered and there are no blank spaces left, staple on the turkey cutout to the bottom.
  • If desired, add a ribbon “hanger” to the back of the finished piece.
  • Then display your beautiful Thanksgiving turkey wreath in your home or on the front door proudly for ALL to see!

Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible.
