Handprint Santa Stop Here Keepsake

This simple craft only requires a few materials, and can be done in just a few minutes. Plus, it’s a great way to keep your little ones entertained during the holiday season.

Craft Supplies:

  • STOP HERE Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Baby Wipes
  • Holiday Themed Stickers

Directions:

  • First print out the provided “stop here” file on the white cardstock paper.
  • Next grab your craft paint, as well as your foam paint brush and paper plate.
  • Squirt the craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Pick one of your child’s hands {left or right – doesn’t matter!}
  • Paint the palm of your child’s hand completely and press it down in the center of the printable, between the “ST” and “P” letters. The handprint is going to be the “O” in the holiday phrase.
  • Now carefully lift up your child’s hand from the printable and clean off the excess paint with a baby wipe & a quick trip to the sink.
  • When the handprint you just made on the paper is dry enough, start embellishing it your holiday stickers.
  • Add other embellishments to give their Santa Stop Here keepsake piece a personalized look.
  • Don’t forget to write your child’s name, age and date on the back!
  • Then display/gift away proudly your child’s beautiful handprint Christmas keepsake piece!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
