Handprint Pirate Gnome Craft For Kids - Keepsake Card

Looking for a fun and easy craft project to do with your kids? This handprint pirate gnome card is perfect!

Craft Supplies:

  • PIRATE HAT PRINTABLE ON BOX.COM
  • ARRRGH PRINTABLE ON BOX.COM
  • White Cardstock Paper {three sheets!}
  • Red Cardstock Paper
  • Kraft Cardstock Paper
  • Crayons, Markers or Coloring Pencils
  • Pencil or Pen
  • Craft Scissors
  • Adhesive

Directions:

  • First things first, grab the two free “pirate” files {listed above in the supply list} and print them both out on white cardstock paper.
  • Trim out ONE of the rectangle boxes from the wording printable.
  • Then, using your choice of coloring materials, color in the pirate hat design {from the second printable} however you like.
  • When done coloring, trim out the hat piece and discard excess paper.
  • Now grab your last piece of white BLANK cardstock paper and trace both of your child’s hands {one at a time} on the paper.
  • When done tracing, trim them both out. This will be the beard for your pirate.
  • Finally – cut out a small oval nose shape from the kraft colored cardstock paper.
  • Now you are ready to assemble it all together.
  • Start off my gluing down the TWO white handprint cutouts onto the red cardstock paper {right along the edge.} You want the fingertips facing downward on the paper.
  • Follow up that step by gluing down the pirate hat on the palms of the handprint cutouts.
  • The last step for the pirate’s head is to glue down the oval nose.
  • To finish off your Paper Pirate Keepsake, add the rectangle cutout with the “ARRGH means I love you” saying, right underneath the handprint beard design.
  • Now you can stop here or add any other embellishments you see fit, to give it that pirate spin!
  • Then display your handprint pirate paper piece proudly for ALL to see!!
  • Don’t forget to snap a few pictures of your finished handprint pirate gnome on your phone and tag us on your social media sites! #gluedtomycrafts
