Popsicle Stick Sleigh Ornament For Kids To Make

Popsicle Stick Sleigh Ornament

This sleigh ornament is a super easy and a fun Christmas craft idea that kids of all ages will love to make. It’s also a great keepsake for years to come!

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks – 4 per craft
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • 4×6″ Printed Picture
  • Basic Craft Scissors
  • Ribbon or Twine
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • First things first – if you like, go ahead and paint your FOUR jumbo popsicle sticks ANY color you like. We just happened to use pre-dyed red popsicle sticks for ours. Feel free to use whatever you like or keep them plain!
  • Next up – get the glue gun hot and ready!
  • Glue your FOUR jumbo popsicle sticks together to look like a sleigh. Three next to each other and then one across.
  • Allow it to dry completely.
  • Next up – the picture. You will want to take {and print out} a picture of your child laying on the floor, out flat on their belly, with their arms/hands out like a superhero. See our picture above for example.
  • Take your scissors and trim out your child from the printed picture.
  • Adhere the picture to the center of the popsicle stick shape, so it looks like they are on the sleigh.
  • Grab your ribbon and cut off a small piece.
  • Hot glue it to the back of the popsicle stick shape so it’s easy to hang the ornament on the tree.
  • Add any other embellishments you see fit.
  • Then allow it to dry completely before you display it proudly for ALL to see!
