These adorable wooden peg turkey friends are perfect for Thanksgiving crafting with kids! They’re easy to make and so much fun to decorate.
Craft Supplies:
- Unfinished Wood Peg Doll
- Thin Tip Markers {red, orange & black}
- Large Craft Feathers
- Hot Glue Gun
Directions:
- First things first – get the glue gun hot and ready.
- Grab ONE wooden peg and all your Sharpie markers.
- Start off by drawing on two dotted eyes, then the triangle beak and then the feet. Straight onto the wood peg. Just don’t push too hard though, so the colors don’t bleed into the wood.
- The last step – grab three to four craft feathers and hot glue them to the back of the peg. You basically want the feathers to be on the opposite side of the sharpie drawings. Make sure you glue the feathers up high enough on the peg, so the wood piece can still stand nicely on it’s own. If need be – when the hot glue is dried enough and you have a hard time standing your piece, take scissors and cut off the excess feather area on the bottom.
- Add any other embellishments you see fit.
- Then allow it to dry completely before you display your wooden peg turkey friend proudly for ALL to see!
