Thumbprint Carrot Cards For Easter

This genius Thumbprint Carrot Cards craft idea is crafted from supplies you are likely to have on hand right now, making this a DIY you don’t want to pass on! It’s perfect to craft up for the Easter and spring season!

Craft Supplies:

  • Orange Craft Paint or Washable Ink Pad
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Cardstock Paper Cards
  • Colored Cardstock Paper
  • Scissors/Paper Trimmer
  • Green Sharpie Marker
  • Baby Wipes
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • Start off by squirting a small amount of orange craft paint on a paper plate.
  • Using my pictures above for your example of what to make – you will want to dip your thumb finger in the orange craft paint and make THREE thumbprints in a row, on your white cardstock paper. This makes one carrot. Repeat for as many carrots you want to make on your card {but remember to leave room for the greenery in between!}
  • Once done adding the fingerprints, set aside to let it dry.
  • Next up – draw on embellishments to give them the look of carrots using a green Sharpie marker for the greenery. You can do lines and squiggles for this step.
  • Finally trim down your white cardstock pieces and add them to a colored card front for easy mailing!!!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
