St. Patrick’s Day doesn’t need to be about making leprechaun traps and paper plate rainbows! No, no, no! Today we are sharing our latest Handprint LUCKY To Have You Keepsake idea with you all and I hope you are inspired to recreate it as well!
It’s absolutely perfect if you want to make something in honor of the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day holiday but not have it be focused on leprechauns, rainbows and shamrocks {or maybe you aren’t Irish but still want to get crafty!} Not to mention, this is a sweet handmade piece that you give to others regardless of the time of year!
Ready to make it happen? Keep scrolling for the details and free keepsake file!
Happy crafting, my friends! I am sure LUCKY to have you here on my website today!
LUCKY Keepsake Craft Supplies:
* Free Lucky To Have You Template Printable {GRAB IT ON BOX.COM}
* White Cardstock Paper
* Color Printer
* Green Washable Craft Paint
* Large Foam Paint Brush
* Small Paper Plate
* Baby Wipes
* Green Marker
optional materials – embellishments like shamrock stickers and pink hearts
Directions:
* First things first – print out the LUCKY keepsake printable, that is listed above in the supply list. You need one print per craft.
* Next up – grab that green craft paint, as well as your foam paint brush and paper plate.
* Squirt the craft paint on the paper plate.
* Pick one of your child’s hands {left or right – doesn’t matter!}
* Paint the palm of your child’s hand completely and press it down in the center of the printable, between the L – CKY letters.
* Now carefully lift up your child’s hand from the printable and clean off the excess paint with a baby wipe & a quick trip to the sink.
* When the handprint you just made on the paper is dry enough, start embellishing it. Start off by using the green marker to give the handprint a stem and make it look like a “shamrock.” I also decided to add some more shamrock stickers and a couple hearts as well.
* When you are done decorating the piece of paper, go ahead and display/gift away proudly your child’s beautiful handprint LUCKY keepsake piece!
* Don’t forget to share pictures with us! You can always tags us on Facebook or Instagram for easy sharing. #gluedtomycrafts
