Sponge Painted Pizza Cards Supplies:
* Pre-made cardstock cards
* White Cardstock
* Adhesive
* Yellow/Brown Craft Paint
* Paper Plate
* Paint Brushes
* Brand New Kitchen Sponge {clean/any size}
* Scissors/Paper Trimmer
* Heart Paper Punch
* Red Scrapbook Paper
* Scrapbook Stickers/Sharpie Markers
Directions:
* First trim down your white cardstock so it will fit on the front of your pre-made cardstock cards. One piece for each card. Once trimmed down, go ahead and glue those to the front of each card with your adhesive. Repeat for each card you are making.
* Now grab your kitchen sponge. Cut out a triangle for your pizza slice. It can be any size you like, just as long as it’s not bigger than your card.
* Now grab your paper plate and craft paint. Squirt some yellow paint on the paper plate. Take your newly made “stamp” and rub it into the yellow paint, until it’s completely covered. Then take it and stamp it on the white cardstock. This is your cheese of the pizza. Repeat for each card you are making.
* Next grab the brown craft paint. Paint on a line of brown craft paint, near the bigger portion of the stamped triangle. This is your “crust.” Set aside.
* To finish off the pizza themed cards, punch some small hearts out of some red scrapbook paper. This is the pepperoni. Glue those to your pizza slice. Then add your scrapbook stickers/use Sharpie markers around the pizza slice design to say “You have a “PIZZA” of my heart” or any other saying you like. Then write a sweet message inside and mail away!!!
Extra Craft Tip – instead of a kitchen sponge, try thinking outside the box with your stamp. Use potatoes, apples or craft foam scraps to make your triangle shape. You can even skip the paint and make pizza shapes out of cardstock! I’m just setting up the framework, in hopes you run with our crafty idea!
