One Fish, Two Fish Dr. Seuss Craft Idea For Kids
We are at it again at Glued To My Crafts!!! With Dr. Seuss’ birthday just around the corner {March 2nd} I decided to come up with a “fingerprint fish bowl” printable to mark the special occasion!
Everyone knows the iconic story “One Fish, Two Fish” so I decided to pair this book with a SIMPLE DIY idea that can be easily framed and used to celebrate the upcoming birthday {and all those events most schools put on to mark this yearly occasion!}
This Thumbprint Fishbowl Idea is super easy to make within minutes {you can join them too!} and it’s relatively inexpensive too!
You can also add materials to reflect different personalities and style, while still keeping the price on the cheap! We are talking CENTS to pull this Dr. Seuss-themed craft together today!
In this post, I’ve included a FREE fish bowl printable template so all you need to do is print the file, grab some ink pads and have your children add their thumbprints to complete the craft. It’s so simple, you have NO excuse NOT to do it!
So what are you waiting for? Download the file below and get to work on creating this adorable fish bowl art project idea. Then {if you like} place the finished fingerprint painted fish bowl paper piece in a beautiful frame or in a scrapbook to enjoy year, after year! I just hope you enjoy making it with your child! Craft Supplies:
- Free Fish Bowl Printable
- White Cardstock Paper
- Crayons/Markers
- Colored Ink Pads
- Thin Tip Sharpie Markers
- Baby Wipes
- Embellishments
Directions:
- First print the free template printable, listed above in the supply list, on a single sheet of white cardstock paper.
- If desired, have children color in the page for added flair. Use crayons, markers etc. for this step.
- Next, grab the ink pads and open them up.
- Have children press their thumbprint on the ink pad, then in the center of the fish bowl. Repeat. You can easily follow the “One Fish, Two Fish” story line {like we did} or do this step freestyle.
- Use baby wipes to remove excess ink from fingers.
- Once done, have children use the thin-tip Sharpie markers to add details to the fish.
- Have children sign their name anywhere on the printable.
- If desired, add other embellishments you see fit {like glitter and scrapbook stickers!}
- Then display proudly!
