Handprint Christmas Trees w/Clothespin Bottoms

Get into the Christmas spirit this season with a fun and easy craft project – make some beautiful handprint Christmas trees using only clothespins, embellishments, and your imagination!

This festive art activity is perfect for moms, teachers, educators, crafters, or any creative people looking to get their hands (or family’s hands!) crafting. It requires minimal materials but yields maximum cuteness that you won’t be able to resist showing off in your home or gifting to others. Plus it will leave you feeling extra holly and jolly this holiday season!

PAIR YOUR HANDPRINT TREES WITH —> Christmas Tree Frame Ornaments

Clothespin Handprint Christmas Trees

These adorable clothespin handprint Christmas trees are a great way to get the kids into the holiday spirit!

Craft Supplies:

  • Green Felt or Craft Foam Sheets
  • Large Yellow Star Stickers
  • Wooden Clothespins – one per Christmas tree craft
  • Colorful Sequins or Rhinestones
  • Tacky Glue or Hot Glue Gun
  • Basic Craft Scissors
  • Black Marker

Directions:

  • First trace and trim out your child’s handprints on your choice of either GREEN craft foam or craft felt sheet. You need one handprint per Christmas tree.
  • Repeat for each handprint Christmas tree you want to make with your child today.
  • Next go ahead and add the star sticker on top of the finger in the middle, in the handprint cutout.
  • Now you are ready for embellishments! Have children decorate their holiday trees however they like. Let them go WILD on this step!!!
  • When they are done decorating, set aside to let it dry completely.
  • Once your Handprint Christmas Trees are completely dry, it’s time to assemble for the final step!
  • Simply “pinch” a clothespin on the bottom of each piece to represent the tree stump.
  • Then display them proudly for all to see!!!
