Egg Carton Reindeer - Kid Craft

Egg Carton Reindeer - Kid Craft

It’s a great way to recycle AND it’s the perfect Christmas themed activity as well! This Egg Carton Reindeer kid craft idea is a must-do this holiday season!!!

Using just a simple leftover egg carton, it’s the perfect canvas to make the face of your reindeer. Then with just some creativity, tons of paint and glue – your red-nosed friend can come to life in no time!

Craft Supplies:

  • Egg Carton
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Brown Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Large Red Pom Poms
  • Gold Pipe Cleaners
  • Large Wiggle Eyes

Directions:

  • First separate the lid from the compartments of the cardboard egg carton.
  • Now tear off “TWO” side by side compartments, from either end of the egg carton. This will be the face of ONE reindeer.
  • Next squirt some brown craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Use the foam paint brush to paint your egg carton piece completely brown.
  • When done with the painting step, it’s time to get the glue gun hot and ready.
  • Go ahead and take ONE gold pipe cleaner and bend it with your fingers, to create reindeer antlers.
  • Now hot glue the pipe cleaner antlers to the painted egg carton.
  • To finish off the Egg Carton Reindeer craft, go ahead and glue on the wiggle eyes eyes and pom pom nose.
  • Add other embellishments that you see fit {maybe some ribbon on the back or a nice small craft bow in the corner.}
  • Allow your reindeer piece to dry completely before you display it proudly for all to see.
