“I MADE YOU THESE FLOWERS WITH MY FINGER AND THUMB SO YOU WILL HAVE THESE MEMORIES FOR ALL THE YEARS TO COME!”
With Mother’s Day just around the corner, there’s no better way for kids to show their love than through a personal, thoughtful craft.
For those tiny hands itching to create something special for mom, here’s a brilliant idea that combines artistic flair with the uniqueness of everyone’s individual print – fingerprint flowers!
This craft not only provides a fun, hands-on activity for children but also a heartfelt gift that’s bound to make mom smile and preserve a token of their childhood forever!
Craft Supplies:
- Flower Printable – on our landing page
- White Cardstock Paper
- Crayons or Markers
- Washable Finger Paint {or ink pad!}
- Small Paper Plate
- Baby Wipes
Directions:
- First print out the free printable, listed above, on a single sheet of white cardstock paper.
- Have children color in the flower pot designs.
- Next up – squirt a few of your child’s favorite colors of craft paint on a small paper plate.
- Now have your child dip their thumb {or finger} in the paint and then press it down on the printable.
- Have them repeat this step until the flower is nice and full.
- When done with the painting step, use baby wipes to clean off fingers {and a quick trip to the sink doesn’t hurt either!}
- To finish off the art project, add other embellishments you see fit.
- Then display/gift away their flower fingerprint painting proudly for all to see!
- Don’t forget to share pictures with us! #gluedtomycrafts
