With Mother’s Day just around the corner, there’s no better way for kids to show their love than through a personal, thoughtful craft.

Fingerprint Flower Mother's Day Craft-1

For those tiny hands itching to create something special for mom, here’s a brilliant idea that combines artistic flair with the uniqueness of everyone’s individual print – fingerprint flowers!

This craft not only provides a fun, hands-on activity for children but also a heartfelt gift that’s bound to make mom smile and preserve a token of their childhood forever!

Craft Supplies:

  • Flower Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Crayons or Markers
  • Washable Finger Paint {or ink pad!}
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Baby Wipes

Directions:

  • First print out the free printable, listed above, on a single sheet of white cardstock paper.
  • Have children color in the flower pot designs.
  • Next up – squirt a few of your child’s favorite colors of craft paint on a small paper plate.
  • Now have your child dip their thumb {or finger} in the paint and then press it down on the printable.
  • Have them repeat this step until the flower is nice and full.
  • When done with the painting step, use baby wipes to clean off fingers {and a quick trip to the sink doesn’t hurt either!}
  • To finish off the art project, add other embellishments you see fit.
  • Then display/gift away their flower fingerprint painting proudly for all to see!
