This tutorial from us is perfect for a Thanksgiving story time event! Kids will love creating this adorable paper plate Pete the Cat pilgrim.
Craft Supplies:
- Large Paper Plate
- Blue Tissue Paper
- Black Cardstock Paper
- Blue Cardstock Paper
- White Cardstock Paper
- Yellow Cardstock Paper
- School Glue
- Scissors
- Stapler
Directions:
- First cut your paper plate into a football shape. Discard the leftover pieces.
- Next cut your tissue paper into small squares {let the kids practice their cutting skills}
- Take your paper plate piece and put a good amount of glue all over it.
- Have children place the tissue paper on top of the glue, until the paper plate is completely covered.
- While they are working on that, cut out cat facial features from your cardstock, as well as a large pilgrim hat.
- To finish off the Pete The Cat kid craft idea – simply glue/staple the cardstock pieces in their designated spots and display proudly {you can even add other embellishments that you see fit!}
