Paper Plate Fishbowl – Kid Craft Tutorial w/Handprint Fish
As you all know may know but now, my favorite crafts to do and share on Glued To My Crafts involve my son in some form or another.
I just LOVE seeing his face light up, as we do something artsy {and sometimes messy} together. Even if it’s the simplest thing EVER – he thinks it’s pretty grand!
Recently we made this fishbowl craft after watching the movie “Nemo” together. {My son is starting to get an obsession w/fish} Although we aren’t “ready” to take the next step and get a fishbowl of our own – I love our “handprint” fish that is currently hanging out on our fridge for everyone to see.
In case you would like to make this easy Paper Plate Fishbowl kid craft with your child – today’s post is ALL about how YOU can pull it together and save yourself from a crafty mess too!

Paper Plate Fishbowl Craft Supplies:
* Large Paper Plate {one per fishbowl craft}
* Orange/Blue Craft Paint
* Colored Cardstock
* Paint Brushes
* Elmer’s School Glue
* Wet Ones or Baby Wipes
* Kid Friendly Craft Scissors
* Black Sharpie Marker
* Painter’s Tape
* Dried White Beans

Directions:
* Using your painters tape, tape off a small section on the paper plate. {So your fish can come up for air and do backflips ;)
* Now have your child paint the paper plate blue. Set aside to let it dry completely.
* Next do your child’s handprint. Paint their hand orange and have them “squish” it on the cardstock. Let that dry and clean off your child’s hands with a Wet Ones wipe. Once the handprint on the cardstock is dry – cut it out and draw on fish embellishments w/ a black Sharpie. Set aside.
* Grab your glue and put a good layer on the bottom half of the paper plate. Ask your child to place the dried beans on the glue.
* Once done, glue the handprint fish in place, peel off the painter’s tape and let everything dry completely, before displaying the paper plate fishbowl proudly for ALL to see!

Thanks for the fun, easy Halloween crafts. I plan to do them with my 3 grandchildren this weekend. Perfect fot the 4 year old and the older 2 can use their own creativity to make them their own. The supply list is easy too. Hope to decorate our camper with their art.
