Fly Swatter Painting On Paper

Get creative with the kids and spark their imaginations with this fun fly swatter painting paper craft idea! Even the littlest artists can join in on the fun – it’s a great way to explore color and texture together.

Fly Swatter Painting On Paper - A Great Craft Idea For Toddlers!

Fly Swatter Printing Craft Idea For Toddlers!

Now that the weather is getting warmer here in Wyoming {fingers crossed it stays that way} I’m trying to take the crafting outside.

I don’t know about your child but mine LOVES the outdoors. He definitely gets that from his daddy – not me! If he could, he would stay in our backyard all day {possibly naked cause clothes are not cool apparently}

So anyways – last week, it finally got warm enough for Lil Man to play outside. {We had snow for a few days}

While he was outside, I decided to get creative and have him “paint” me a picture with a fly swatter. YES – you read that right. A fly swatter! Just an inexpensive one I picked up for a buck at our local Dollar Tree last year.

And since I already had the craft paint and paper already on hand, this was the winning combination for a really inexpensive kid craft and activity for us to do together. Sides that – who says you need a paint brush to actually paint??

Directions:

  • First things first – I HIGHLY suggest doing this crafty idea OUTSIDE! So that being said, tape down some kraft paper on the ground. Make sure it’s as flat as possible.
  • Now squirt some paint down on a paper plate.
  • Have your child place their fly swatter in the paint, then on the paper.
  • Repeat over and over again to make a painted masterpiece!
  • Once they are done painting, just pull it up from the ground and discard if you want!
  • Use warm water and soap to remove excess paint on fly swatter 🙂
