Craft Supplies:
- Styrofoam Cups
- Black Craft Paint
- Foam Paint Brush
- Small Paper Plate
- Black Pipe Cleaners
- Basic Scissors
- School Glue
- Small Wiggle Eyes
- White Cardstock Paper
Directions:
- Set up shop where you can get a bit messy. Be sure to have baby wipes near by too!
- First things first – squirt some craft paint on your paper plate.
- Now grab the cup and place it upside down on a flat surface.
- Using the foam paint brush, have your child paint their cup completely black.
- When done painting, set aside the painted cup to let it dry completely.
- While that is drying – grab your pipe cleaner and scissors.
- Go ahead and cut your THREE pipe cleaners into SIX equal halves for the spider legs.
- To finish off the spider craft – press {or staple} the six pipe cleaners into the side of painted cup and shape them a bit so they look like spider legs. {The metal from the pipe cleaners make it so easy to stick them into the painted cups.}
- Then glue on the spider’s eyes and cut out some white fangs to add on the cup as well.
- Now display your creepy new spiders in places that might make people scream! Hint hint! 😉
