Gathering your supplies is half the fun! Here’s everything you’ll need to create your sleeping hedgehog:

  • Sleeping Hedgehog Printable – from our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Crayons, Markers or Coloring Pencils
  • Two Different Colors of Construction Paper

  • Scissors
  • School Glue
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • First, print out the free hedgehog printable linked above. Color in your hedgehog design in any style or colors you like.
  • Next, create the quilt. Take two different sheets of construction paper and cut them into 1″ x 1″ squares.
  • Arrange and glue these squares in a pattern on your paper, just like a patchwork quilt.
  • Once the “quilt” is done, go ahead and cut out TWO oval shapes from the brown construction paper. These will become his paws.
  • Go ahead and glue those in place so it looks like his little hands are peeking out from the blanket.
  • If you’d like, add some extra details or embellishments. Then allow it to dry completely before you display it proudly for all to see!
