The torn paper popsicle craft is a simple yet delightful activity that’s perfect for summer fun. It’s creative, budget-friendly, safe for younger kids, and a great way to spend quality family or classroom time.

Craft Supplies:

Before you kick off this torn paper popsicle craft, gather the following materials. Most of these are items you probably already have at home or in the craft box.

  • Construction Paper – any color
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Summer Popsicle – on our landing page
  • School Glue
  • Crayons, Markers or Coloring Pencils
  • Embellishments

Directions:

Now that you have your materials ready, it’s time to create!

  • First things first – download and print out the FREE provided “happy summer” popsicle printable listed above, on a single piece of white cardstock paper.
  • Have kids color in the “stick” in the popsicle design. They can use any type of coloring material and/or colors.
  • Next up, help your child cut/tear their construction paper into small pieces.
  • Now have them use school glue to glue those pieces inside the “popsicle” design.
  • The final step is to have kids add their own personal touch with rhinestone stickers etc. {or skip this step all together if you choose!}
  • When they are done decorating, allow the finished design to dry completely before gifting.
  • Be sure to also snap a photo and share it with the hashtag #GluedToMyCrafts or tag us to showcase their “delicious” artwork. We’d love to see what you create!

BTW – To add more fun to this activity, encourage kids to talk about their favorite summer memories or the types of popsicles they love most while they create. It’s a great way to spark conversation and give the activity a personal touch.
