Craft Supplies:
Before you kick off this torn paper popsicle craft, gather the following materials. Most of these are items you probably already have at home or in the craft box.
- Construction Paper – any color
- White Cardstock Paper
- Summer Popsicle – on our landing page
- School Glue
- Crayons, Markers or Coloring Pencils
- Embellishments
Directions:
Now that you have your materials ready, it’s time to create!
- First things first – download and print out the FREE provided “happy summer” popsicle printable listed above, on a single piece of white cardstock paper.
- Have kids color in the “stick” in the popsicle design. They can use any type of coloring material and/or colors.
- Next up, help your child cut/tear their construction paper into small pieces.
- Now have them use school glue to glue those pieces inside the “popsicle” design.
- The final step is to have kids add their own personal touch with rhinestone stickers etc. {or skip this step all together if you choose!}
- When they are done decorating, allow the finished design to dry completely before gifting.
- Be sure to also snap a photo and share it with the hashtag #GluedToMyCrafts or tag us to showcase their “delicious” artwork. We’d love to see what you create!
BTW – To add more fun to this activity, encourage kids to talk about their favorite summer memories or the types of popsicles they love most while they create. It’s a great way to spark conversation and give the activity a personal touch.
