Popsicle Stick Socks - Fox In Socks Craft

This Popsicle Stick Fox In Socks craft is the perfect idea for Dr. Seuss fans as it pays homage one of his most beloved characters!

To recreate our craft, all you need are a few basic supplies like popsicle sticks, glue and paint to make this whimsical creation come alive.

So gather around with the kids in your family and get ready to have some educational (and seriously cute!) craft time!

Popsicle Stick Socks - Fox In Socks Craft

Today’s blue sock craft tutorial is a great way to bring the classic Dr. Seuss book to life during story time!

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks – 7 per craft
  • Low-Temp Hot Glue Gun
  • Hot Glue Gun Sticks
  • Blue Craft Paint
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • Small Paper Plate
  • White Cotton Balls

Directions: 

  • First things first – get your glue gun hot and ready!
  • Grab your seven jumbo popsicle sticks {7 per sock craft.}
  • Start off by laying four popsicle stick next to each other, on a flat surface.
  • Now grab the remaining three popsicle sticks and hot glue them, on top of the first four, going the opposite direction to create a sock or stocking shape.
  • Allow the hot glue to dry completely before moving onto the next step.
  • Now grab your small paper plate, blue craft paint and paint brush.
  • Squirt some blue paint on the paper plate.
  • Using the paint brush, paint the newly made popsicle stick shape completely blue.
  • When ready, grab your cotton balls and the hot glue gun again.
  • Finally the last step – hot glue a line of cotton balls on the painted popsicle stick shape, just like on the top of a stocking.
  • When it’s all dry enough, display your popsicle stick blue sock proudly for all to see!
