With just a few simple supplies and a little crafty imagination, you too can bring to life some one-of-a-kind Christmas themed paper GRINCH cupcakes within a few minutes! All it takes is a large pom pom, a dab of green craft paint and some cardstock paper to “bake up” this “sweet and delicious” Grinch inspired dessert today!
So enough chit chat from me – let’s grab our supplies and make some adorable & completely customizable paper Grinch cupcakes together! I really do hope you AND your child have fun “baking” it together today!

Pom Pom Painted Grinch Cupcake
Bring to life a one-of-a-kind Christmas themed cupcake craft with your little one today!
Craft Supplies:
- Cupcake Printable – on our landing page
- White Cardstock Paper
- Green Craft Paint
- Small Paper Plate
- Wooden Clothespin
- Large Sized Pom Pom
- Red Glitter Glue
- Black Cardstock Paper
- Yellow Cardstock Paper
- Scissors
- School Glue
- Black Sharpie Marker
- Santa Hat Sticker
Directions:
- First print the free cupcake template listed above in the supply list. You only need ONE print per Grinch craft.
- Next “pinch” your pom pom in the clothespin. This is now your paint brush.
- Squirt some green craft paint on the paper plate.
- Dip the pom pom in the craft paint, then on the printable, just above the cupcake liner.
- Repeat under you have the desired “cupcake frosting” look you want. You can make your grinch frosting as tall or as thin as you like!
- To finish off the Pom Pom Grinch Cupcake kid craft, cut out some eyes/eyebrows from the remaining cardstock paper and glue those pieces on top of the painted design. At this point in time you can also add red “heart” sprinkles all over the cupcake as well.
- When done crafting, allow it all to dry completely before you display it proudly for ALL to see!
- Then snap a few pictures and share them with us on our Facebook page to admire!
