Paper Plate & Tissue Paper Green Grinch Craft Idea

Don’t be a GRINCH this Christmas!!!

Ok – I didn’t mean to sound so harsh with that statement. Let me “tone” it down a bit.

If you are only going to do ANY type of kids craft with your child this season, today’s SUPER EASY Paper Plate Grinch Heart tutorial is the one to do!

Is that nicer? Have I convinced you yet?! I mean – hello?! Who doesn’t LOVE the classic Grinch story? Whether you like the original or the remake, I feel like it’s a must-see this time of year. It would seem like such a bummer to no put it on at least ONCE this month.

Anyways…. on that note, with the help of Glued To My Crafts, you and your child can say so long to boring crafts during the month of December because we have the easiest one you can do. This Paper Plate Grinch Heart is super easy to recreate AND you can make it either before or after you watch the movie. Easy peasy planning there!

BTW – all you need is a basic paper plate, some green tissue paper, tons of school glue and our FREE provided heart printable to bring it to life. Really basic materials you probably have in your home right now, so there is really no excuse.

SUPER EASY Paper Plate Grinch Heart Craft Idea For Kids

This easy paper plate Grinch heart craft is perfect for kids of all ages! It’s a great way to get into the Christmas spirit!

Craft Supplies:

  • Large Paper Plate
  • Green Tissue Paper
  • Scissors
  • School Glue
  • Heart Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Crayon, Marker or Coloring Pencil

Directions:

  • First things first – take your green tissue paper and cut it into small squares. You only need about a handful of squares to complete ONE Grinch heart craft.
  • Next up – put a good amount of school glue ALL over the paper plate.
  • Now take your tissue paper squares and lay them on top of the wet glue, until the paper plate is completely covered.
  • When done with the tissue paper step, go ahead and set aside your covered paper plate.
  • Next grab your printable and choice of coloring utensil.
  • Color in ONE of the heart shapes from the printable.
  • When done coloring, cut it out with your scissors.
  • To finish off the Grinch heart paper plate craft, simply glue the colored in heart shape, in the center of the tissue paper covered paper plate. That’s it!
  • You can then either add other embellishments you see fit {you can’t go wrong with glitter!} or go straight to displaying it as is! Whatever you decide to do, I hope you had fun recreating this super easy holiday craft tutorial. Remember, you have a second heart left in the printable so you can either repeat this Grinch craft idea again or use it for another craft you might have in mind!
